Simple Workout Plan for Building Muscle in the Abdominals

Six-pack abs might easily be the most desired result of an exercise program. However, this is also the most challenging result to achieve. Building muscle to create the desired six-pack abs requires determination, discipline and a lot of sweat.

A beginner could develop his abs and work toward a six-pack by lying on an inclined bench and pulling himself up by raising his knees, and at the same time curling his hips up. The arms are holding on to the other end of the bench, but should not be used to pull the whole body up. Otherwise the ab muscles will not be build muscle worked properly. A seemingly simple leg raise can also help a lot to develop abdominal muscles. This can even be done while sitting in a chair in front of the television during commercial breaks.

These two exercises are just two among many exercises to choose from to develop your abdominal muscles. Doing even just one of them daily will surely create results.
